Ebay As A Second Income

Earn Extra Money

Ebay can be used as a second income. In these times when we need to have more than one income stream, Ebay is the answer. I have been with Ebay for five years and I have not been successful in making a living, however as a second income I can make as much as if I work another 15 hours a week, when actually it only takes me only about three hours and that includes my time spent at the US Postal Office shipping.

Almost anything can be sold, medication is a no no but used clothing, handbags and even shoes as long as they are designer made. People sell brand new plasma televisions, Sony products, Sanyo, Iphones, used cell phones, antiques, collectibles, quilts and hand crafted items. I have never tried the drop shipment methods that you have to join the club and then you have access to brand name items, but I understand that it works for some.

I do research on Ebay and then decide what I have of value and what people are buying at the time. I do believe that Ebay buyers are trendy, they buy certain things for awhile and then they move on to the next. It seems that the lower the bidding price is started at, the faster it gets bids and once the bidding is started it can go high. Esnipe.com is what bidders use now to purchase an item in the last six or eight seconds before an auction ends. The number of watchers that an item has usually gives the seller a good idea of the desirability of an item.

Sellers must realize that the value of an item is what a buyer is willing to pay for it. If a seller doesn't accept that concept one may always feel cheated.

When choosing items to sell, think small, think about shipping. I shop at Garage sales and auctions to find items. Some people shop at thrift stores and do great. Antique shops work great too for specialty items like Art Deco and if a booth at the antique mall is closing out most times a good deal can be had.

Ebay has two fee, a Listing Fee and a Final Value Fee. Paypal is an asset and they charge a Transaction Fee. Its not too bad when compared to the overhead of having a physical location.

So don't fear it, test it out with one or two items and then just jump in with both feet and earn that second income. Most find it very enjoyable and easy. Anyone can do it.
